Spider Man 3

Caught Spider Man 3 today, watched it with Winnie dear, Mel and Regina. Critics gave it 3 stars(only) and i must say it deserve it. The show promised so much yet delivered so little. Even with Stan Lee the creator of Spider Man as the excutive producer, the movie was let down by one sole element:

The cast.

This movie did injustice to its previous 2 movies. Despite there's some hints in the movie statin there might be a fourth instalment. ( I pray pls stick faithfully to the comic) Cause this part 3 of Spider Man strayed way off course from the comics we all so faithfully followed. The one character which disappoint the most is Venom. Of all characters, i was sitting there looking at Eddie Brock aka Venom, the guy who did the casting ought to be brought out and shot and ran over by a bulldozer. They chose Topher Grace ( of that 70's show fame) to be eddie brock. BIG MISTAKE!!! For all those out there who knows venom, will know this guy is the wrong person for the job. After much discussion with my associate buddy after the show, we came into conclusion where the on screen venom has done injustice to the comic venom.

Here they are:

1. Topher Grace is the wrong actor for eddie brock. They should cast someone bigger, like the guy who played Sandman. Cause that is what eddie brock should look like. Tall and muscular.

2. The venom in the movie look more like Carnage ( another villian in the comics) Why? Again too small, Venom is at least 2 to 3 times bigger than Spider Man.

3. On screen Venom is missing one thing, the most important thing thats defines Venom and the movie left it out. How dumb can they get to miss something like this. Venom is missing his tongue. Yes u didn't read wrongly i said his tongue. Venom has this really long and full of saliva tongue sticking out of his mouth. Its one of the things that makes venom scary and its kinda like his trademark, yet they left it out. Madness!!

4. Venom died to0 easily. Come on, when i saw it i couldn't help to think what is goin on with the script. He was not suppose to die. Venom is a much stronger character than Spider Man and is suppose to form an alliance with Spidey if they just stayed faithful to the comic.

Overall in my opinion, the movie should get just bout two and half stars for plot. The movie dragged a lot during the build up and strayed way off course to the faithful. I'm sure there are many Spidey fans who long awaited for this show yet was disappointed on how it turned out. The movie was saved only by its special effects, with sandman pulling the strings in the fx department. Other than that the movie is jus a so-so kinda show.

Nevertheless, just catch this show for the sake its a Spider Man film.

Still one of the faved super hero we know.
