The Haka

The All Blacks, the international rugby union team of New Zealand, perform a haka (Māori traditional dance) immediately prior to international matches.

This has become a highlight in every rugby match whenever the NZ All Blacks are playing. I'm not a big rugby fan but i've followed the rugby world cup during my army days and now its back. And NZ All Blacks is the team to watch.

Trip to Gentin Highlands

23 Sept to 25 Sept..

Venue: Golden Mile Sri Maju

7am : Departing Singapore for the Genting Highlands in Malaysia.

Kel organized a trip with Minkuan, Jacky, Sinman, Myself and dear in tow. The six of us set out a 6 hour coach ride to Genting for a 3 day 2 night holiday.



We arrived approx 45mins before 2pm. As its still early and we can't check in yet.. We decided to walk around and check out the indoor facilities of First World hotel where we are stayin.


The first activity we did..Archery. After that our fingers got kinda sore.


Awesome view from the 18th storey where our rooms are. The clouds are so thick it covered part of the mountain.


Kel suggested we go out and take a walk. Genting isn't veri warm like Singapore at night. The whole time we were there..the lowest recorded temperature was 15 degrees.





The second day..fun fun and more fun. We head straight to the outdoor theme park. I'm not a trill seeker but sat some roller coaster rides. The flying coaster( my fave), The cyclone and the big one- The Corkscrew.

After we are done with the theme park we took a cable car ride down the Genting
Skyway.

We ended the day with a monsterous international buffet dinner at the terrance cafe in Genting hotel. We ate so much..food of a five star hotel and we only paid 20+ Sing! Madness!


Last day wasn't much. We had to check out before 12 noon. And we went to have k lunch.You can get good food with 2 hrs of ktv for as low as 10 Ringget!

Our coach leaves at 230pm and soon we were on our way back home. Almost seems like a dream. We had great fun and we ate a lot too! Till the next time!

Kel's Surprise!

My dearest fren and brother is turnin 25! WooHoo..Kelvin Tan!

A group of us gathered at the Kenny Rogers at Suntec city for dinner to celebrate his hatchday.
But there was a evil plot..we got kel a present..but to make it interestin..our other evil brother..the scheming one suggest we place the original present at kel's house..and than at the dinner..present him a cheap decoy present. Brilliant!

And who to plant the present at his house? your's truly..sigh..no choice cause i stay few blocks away from him only. After the dinner we hanged around marina square to play some pool before hitting the road home.Dear came to send us home. Kel and i had a drink and went to his place. He still doesn't know the outcome awaiting him.....

He walked into his room..and at the corner of his bed......Surprise!!!


Did this within a short period of time before the dinner..kel's mum had to go out so i had to hurry.

Interesting Conversation

Was with my Buddy recently in my car. And had a conversation regardin having surgery.

Him ( a funny..evil and tormenting chap) : Hey i would wan to go for operation someday. On my nose.

Me: Me too but i wan to do my eyes instead.

Him: Lasik ah

Me: Yup!

Him: Ya i wan to do my nose..clear it up once and for all.

Me: What?! clear what?

Him: Clear lo..so that i can stop talkin funny.

Me: But M**..you dun talk funny..even if so..thats good in a way..cause ppl will find you funny cause of it.

Him: .................

There was a moment of silence than soon our conversation was diverted to sumthing else.

Stone Grill

A place i went with dear today. Along katong road where you will be spoilt for choice on what to eat. On the outside, this place looks veri posh and at first we were reluctant to go in and try. After much contemplatin, we decided to give it a shot.



The special bout this place is that the steaks are served raw to you. The selling points are the stones. Volcanic stones to be precise. These stay hot for a veri long time. Even after we have eaten, the stones are still hot.


Dear's Carnivorous platter aka Mixed Grill. Comes with Chix fillet, Lamb Skewer and sirloin steak. Taste awesome even without dippin in the sauce.



My sirloin steak. Served on the hot stone. The meat is seared on one side. To eat it, jus slice a piece and sear it on the stone to ur preferred doneness. ( Dear and i both love Medium Rare)



Happy savouring our steaks and meats. And the best part its affordable. Won't burn a hole in ur pocket. Ranges within the same as Phin's steakhouse and Jack's place.

Check out my new gear Part 2

Went out with dear on sunday for dinner. Brought her to have pepper lunch ( she loves it) at velocity at novena. After dinner we took a walk around the area and had ice cream at Anderson's .

Than we drove to parklane supposing to play pool, but dear say might get veri late so we jus went to play arcade there. I played drum mania! ( attention to the other soggy bottom boys) and dear played her puzzle game.

While leaving there to go home, we spoke about guitars cause i jus gt myself a new one. And dear loves bright pinky flowery stuff. So i had an idea and brought her to a shop at the basement of parklane.

Daisy Rock

Its the only place in Singapore with guitars designed for girls. As it late, i expected the shop to be close so my intention was to stand outside and jus show her what kind of guitar they have.
To my surprise, it was open! and went in and dear show some veri nice guitars. Flower ..heart designs with bright purple..pink colours etc. Than there a found an acoustic amplifier. Wasn't plannin to get one so soon since i jus bought a new guitar for myself. But than dear, bought it for me. WooHoo!!!!
